THE LEGAL INVESTIGATOR

NALI's official journal is published six times per year as a special section within P I Magazine. All dues-paying members of the organization receive a subscription as part of their dues. The magazine is published by NALI members Jimmie and Rosemaire Mesis. It is a trade journal for the entire investigative field. The editor of P I Magazine is also a NALI member, Don Johnson, CLI. The Business/Advertising office is in Freehold, N.J., at (800) 836-3088 or www.pimagazine.com

NALI appoints the editor of its journal, The Legal Investigator. The editor, Jane Cracraft, CLI, is a retired NALI member. She is the 17th member to serve as editor of NALI's official journal. She can be contacted at (303) 548-8488 or TLI.editor @ comcast.net.

Jane Cracraft spent 20 years as a newspaper reporter with The Denver Post and taught journalism classes part time at the University of Colorado in Boulder before becoming a legal investigator in 1984. She joined NALI in 1990. In 2000, she was named one of the "Top 25 Investigators of Century" by the National Association of Investigative Specialists. In 2007, she received the "Investigator Philosopher Award" of the Criminal Defense Investigation Training Council.

Most articles appearing in The Legal Investigator are written by NALI members. Some are research papers submitted by candidates for the CLI designation. There is no compensation for authors, but those who are Certified Legal Investigators can earn Continuing Education Credits by writing for the publication.

Three NALI members serve as a Publications Advisory Board. The members of the board are Lynn H. Levy; James E. Mazour, CLI, and Richard Robertson.
